How Fast Is a Strike Shadow? 48V, 60V & 72V Top Speeds
How Fast Is a Strike Shadow? Top Speeds of the 48V, SX 60V & SV2 72V
“How fast is a Strike Shadow?” is one of the first questions every rider asks — and the answer depends on which model you choose. Here are the real Strike Shadow top speed figures for the whole lineup, plus what actually affects how fast you’ll go in the real world.
Strike Shadow top speed by model
| Model | Peak motor | Top speed |
|---|---|---|
| Strike Shadow 48V | 3000W | 35 mph |
| Strike Shadow SX 60V | 5000W | 45 mph |
| Strike Shadow SV2 72V | 7000W | 60 mph |
Strike Shadow 48V top speed: ~35 mph
The Strike Shadow 48V tops out around 35 mph, powered by its 3000W peak motor and 48V 23.5Ah battery. That’s plenty for younger and newer riders learning off-road skills, and the speed can be tuned down for beginners and opened up as confidence grows. See the 48V ›
Strike Shadow SX 60V top speed: ~45 mph
The Strike Shadow SX 60V top speed is around 45 mph, thanks to its 5000W (5kW) peak motor and 60V 27Ah battery. That’s a big step up in both top end and mid-range torque over the 48V, which is exactly why the SX 60V is the all-round favorite for intermediate and adult riders. See the SX 60V ›
Strike Shadow SV2 72V top speed: ~60 mph
The flagship Strike Shadow SV2 72V top speed reaches around 60 mph — the fastest in the lineup. Its 7000W (7kW) peak motor and 72V battery deliver instant torque and serious top-end speed for experienced riders. At these speeds, full safety gear isn’t optional. See the SV2 72V ›
What affects your real-world top speed?
Those numbers are the bikes’ rated top speeds in off-road mode, but several things change how fast you’ll actually go on any given ride:
- Rider weight — a heavier rider reaches a lower top speed than a lighter one
- Terrain — climbing, sand, mud, and loose dirt all cut into top speed compared to hard-packed flat ground
- Battery charge — a fuller battery delivers more consistent power; speed tapers as charge drops
- Tire choice and pressure — aggressive knobby tires and low pressure add grip but can reduce top speed
- Ride mode — each Strike Shadow has tunable modes, so a lower limit may be set for newer riders
Can you make a Strike Shadow faster?
Each model’s top speed is tunable through its ride modes — off-road mode unlocks the full rated speed, while lower limits can be set for younger or less experienced riders. Higher speeds should only ever be used on private property or closed courses, never on public roads. Strike Shadow bikes are built for off-road use only and aren’t street legal — more on that in our guide to where you can ride.
Which Strike Shadow speed is right for you?
If you want a faster bike, you also want the experience and the space to use it safely. Newer and smaller riders are best served by the 35 mph Strike Shadow 48V; most riders are happiest with the 45 mph SX 60V; and experienced riders chasing the 60 mph flagship will want the SV2 72V. Compare them side by side on our comparison page, or ask us which fits your riding.
